II Brazilian Symposium on Cement Science

ABOUT THE EVENT
The Brazilian Symposium on Cement Science (SBCC 2025), promoted by the Cement Working Group of ANTAC (National Association of Built Environment Technology), is the only event in Brazil exclusively dedicated to the cement science and aims to promote the advancement of research and scientific knowledge on cement chemistry. This event will take place in parallel with the 9th Brazilian Cement Congress (CBCi), fostered by the Brazilian Association of Portland Cement (ABCP), to be held at the WTC Hall in São Paulo.
Currently, the SBCC is considered the most important Brazilian event in the area of cement science, with the participation of the academic community and representatives of public and private institutions and companies. Articles submitted and approved in a double-blind peer review process will be published in the symposium proceedings. A special edition with the best works will be published in the Ambiente Construído magazine.
Among its objectives of SBCC 2025, in its second edition, it will address the theme “Science supporting the development of the low-carbon cement industry”.
CONFIRMED SPEAKERS
With the meeting of national and international experts, the SBCC enhances the exchange of knowledge and innovation where space is offered for national and international lectures with the most renowned scientists, presentation of academic research, discussion of challenges and success cases of the Industry. The result will be the strengthening of a collaborative network in this vital area for civil construction.
PROGRAM / REGISTRATION
- December 15, 2024 – Start for submission of articles, thesis abstracts and abstracts of industrial cases.
- February 15, 2025 – Deadline for submitting articles and abstracts.
- March 15, 2025 – Partial acceptance of articles and abstracts.
- April 15, 2025 – Deadline for submitting reviewed articles.
- May 15, 2025 – Final acceptance of the reviewed articles.
- May 30, 2025 – Deadline for paying the registration for authors.
SUBMISSION AND WORKING MODALITIES
We invite the academic and industry community to submit their papers to the II Brazilian Symposium on Cement Science, an event dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and research in the cementitious materials area. This symposium will bring together renowned experts, academics, industry and other professionals in an environment conducive to the exchange of ideas and the sharing of innovative discoveries.
