As holder of a degree in Civil Engineering from the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) (1995), Fernando Furiatti is an Infrastructure Analyst at Brazil’s National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT), with a specialization in Road Environmental Management. He was Head of the Local Unit of DNIT for 8 years and Advisor to the Minister of Transport at the Ministry of Infrastructure.

Furiatti was appointed by Governor Ratinho Júnior to the position of General Director of the Department of Highways (DER), a position he held until March 2022. From April 2022 to April 2023, he served as Secretary of Infrastructure and Logistics for the State of Paraná. He currently serves as President of DER/PR.
