Holder of a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, with a specialization in Basic Sanitation from Universidade do Vale dos Sinos. In 1992, he joined FEPAM as a technician, served as head of the FEPAM Project Analysis Service from 1993 to 1994, Head of the Industrial Pollution Control Division from 1995 to February 28, 2012, and Head of the Control Department from 2012 to 2018.

In 2019, he took office as Technical Director, performing the role until April 3, 2022. On April 4, 2022, he was appointed as CEO.
