The 10th Brazilian Cement Congress (CBCi) and ExpoCimento 2027 already have a confirmed date and venue: the event will take place from May 3 to 5, 2027, at the Golden Hall WTC in São Paulo. The announcement was made by Paulo Camillo Penna, Executive President of the Brazilian Portland Cement Association (ABCP) and the National Cement Industry Union (SNIC), during the official launch held on April 9, which brought together approximately 50 representatives from the cement industry value chain at ABCP headquarters.
The event coincides with the celebrations marking 100 years of the cement industry and 90 years of ABCP, representing a milestone in the institutional and technical history of the sector.
Innovation, Sustainability and Building the Future
During the launch, Paulo Camillo Penna presented the event’s strategic structure. The 10th CBCi will be built around three pillars: innovation, sustainability and building the future — guidelines that reflect the industry’s current priorities and will shape the event agenda.
“Everyone gathered here for the launch of our 10th Brazilian Cement Congress and our international exhibition, ExpoCimento, represents a fundamental combination of forces for the development of the cement industry. Previous Edition Sets Records
The previous edition of CBCi/ExpoCimento, held in 2025, achieved significant results that demonstrate the importance of the event. The congress brought together more than 1,100 participants, featured 50 exhibitors and offered a program with more than 90 presentations, consolidating its position as the industry’s leading gathering.
Participants included business leaders from across the construction industry value chain, consultants, researchers, public-sector authorities and corporate executives.
During the launch event, highlights from the previous edition were presented, reinforcing the event’s impact and quality. For 2027, the organizers are working to expand participation both in scale and in quality.
Event Overview – The Industry’s Leading Business Hub
Marcelo Pecchio, Technology and Technical Dissemination Manager at ABCP, presented the technical structure of the 10th CBCi/ExpoCimento.
The congress will be held on May 4 and 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while ExpoCimento will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
On May 3, the opening ceremony will take place at 6:00 p.m., followed by the official opening of ExpoCimento and a cocktail reception at 8:00 p.m. In parallel, the 3rd Brazilian Cement Science Symposium (SBCC 2027) will take place on May 3, 4 and 5. This technical and academic event focuses on the scientific foundations that support the development of the sector.
Main Theme: 100 Years of the Cement Industry
The program will be organized around the theme “100 Years of the Cement Industry: Innovation, Sustainability and Building the Future” and will address a wide range of topics across different areas.
In the field of sustainability, the event will feature discussions on industry decarbonization, carbon markets, nature-based solutions, energy transition, co-processing and biomass.
Cement-based construction systems will receive special attention, with technical presentations on concrete pavements, precast concrete products, solutions for cities, buildings and the industrialization of construction.
Innovation will also be a central topic, with presentations on new types of cement, 3D printing and new construction techniques that are transforming the industry. The program will also include discussions on industry modernization, covering new equipment, occupational health and safety, and public policies.
The technical presentations will address practical and applicable topics, enabling participants to gain insight into the trends shaping the future of the industry.
